Case Study:
Toll – Audio-visual Control Room
About
Toll Group, Australia’s leading transport company, is responsible for monitoring fleet location, delivery times, driver fatigue/distractions, vehicle performance and incident analysis in real-time. The Control Room installation was part of Toll’s broader eight-year $1.6 billion investment in new fleet and equipment.
The focus of this installation was to improve efficiency and safety within road networks – Toll and the Australian Government share a commitment to seeing all Australian truck drivers’ home safely.

Scope
The structure is one of the largest in Australia and one of the largest of its kind in the world, the installation features a video wall and an interactive touch LED screen measuring 9.5 metres.
Centech teamed up with Panotek, to supply customised software and hardware solutions, enabling quick sharing of laptop/tablet screens, at the touch of a button. A Crestron AirMedia wireless presentation system was also installed.
Approach
Centech spent numerous hours liasing with both Panotek and Toll to ensure control room requirements were met to the highest of standards. The wall was a crucial element and the weight of each panel was supplied to the builder in order to develop a reinforced wall.
Toll’s IT team were fully engaged, providing access to websites needed for the Control Room solution, creating remote access to servers and providing off-site software upgrades and maintenance.
Outcome
The Control Room allows Toll to view and respond to any safety or operational issue across the country – 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. This project is a testament to the cutting-edge solutions Centech Group are able to deliver.
